About the Project

The Hungarian Bankholding Group is the second largest banking group in Hungary. Through the merger and transformation of Budapest Bank, MKB Bank and the Takarék Group, it aims to create the most innovative, integrated bank in Hungary, which is leading in personalized customer service and committed to the Hungarian people, businesses, and economy

With the technological transformation, the bank holding will switch to a DevOps-based operation fully operated in the AWS cloud.

Based on the many years of experience of Molaris’ integration experts, Hungarian Bankholding develops the integration governance – including the rules for the use of integration tools and the necessary processes.

Our fullstack developers support the objectives of the bank’s development teams and actively participate in microservice-based software development.

The challenge

A motivating challenge in the project is how the integration environment of the three merging banks based on traditional technologies can operate in parallel with integration middlewares based on modern technologies in the AWS cloud.

IT security requirements also raises questions about how communication based on bank’s online interfaces or even file-based transmission can be ensured with adequate security guarantees.

Solution

Proper governance requires oversight into chains of responsibility, policy, control mechanisms, measurement, and communication.

With the guidance of our expert colleagues with 20+ years of experience, who only have more than 8+ years of experience in the integration field, the bank creates the processes driven by CI/CD pipelines that it expects in today’s world with the DevOps philosophy.
